Voters will be asked to change city's Central Park Master Plan

Proponents say that the city’s current senior center located on 17th and Orange is sorely outdated and that a modern and much larger facility is needed in order to meet the future needs of HB’s expanding and more active senior population. The proposed site would be ideal for a new senior center, they argue, because it sits on city owned land, thus eliminating the need to buy property, and its central location would serve the greatest number of seniors more efficiently. Besides, they argue, if equestrians, frisbee throwers and dog owners can have a dedicated park area, why can’t seniors? Web site: www.soshb.com
